స్పై యాక్షన్ సినిమాలకు పెట్టింది పేరు యశ్ రాజ్ ఫిల్మ్స్. బాలీవుడ్‌లోనే బడా నిర్మాణ సంస్థగా పేరొందిన ఈ నిర్మాణ సంస్థ.. వైఆర్ఎఫ్ స్పై యూనివర్స్ పేరుతో నిర్మించిన సినిమాలు యాక్షన్ ప్రియులను ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. తాజాగా బాలీవుడ్ సూపర్‌స్టార్ హృతిక్ రోషన్, మాన్ ఆఫ్ మాసెస్ ఎన్టీఆర్ హీరోలుగా యశ్ రాజ్ ఫిల్మ్స్ నిర్మించిన చిత్రమే వార్ 2. ఇద్దరు పవర్ హౌస్‌ లాంటి హీరోలు కలిసి నటించడంతో ఈ సినిమాపై భారీ అంచనాలు నెలకొన్నాయి. ఈ ఇద్దరు సూపర్‌స్టార్లను అయాన్ ముఖర్జీ ఎలా డీల్ చేశారు? ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది? వార్ 2 కథేంటీ? ప్రేక్షకులను వార్ 2 మెప్పించిందా? లేదా? చూస్తే.

వార్ 2 కథేంటీ? 

మాజీ రా ఏజెంట్ కబీర్ (హృతిక్ రోషన్) వరుసపెట్టి బడా బాబులను హత్య చేస్తుంటాడు. భారతదేశాన్ని చెప్పు చేతల్లో పెట్టుకోవాలనుకునే కలి అనే ఓ అజ్ఞాత శక్తి అతనికి ఓ టాస్క్ ఇస్తుంది. తన గాడ్ ఫాదర్ లాంటి సునీల్ లూథ్రా (అశుతోష్ రాణా)ని కబీర్ చంపేస్తాడు. కబీర్ కోసం రా, భారత ప్రభుత్వం వెంటాడుతుంది. ఇతనిని పట్టుకోవడానికి రా నియమించిన స్పెషల్ టీమ్‌కి మేజర్ విక్రమ్ చలపతి (జూనియర్ ఎన్టీఆర్) నాయకత్వం వహిస్తాడు. తండ్రిని చంపిన కబీర్‌పై అతని కూతురు వింగ్ కమాండర్ కావ్య లూథ్రా (కియారా అద్వానీ) పగతో రగిలిపోతుంది. తనకు అడుగడుగునా అడ్డుపడుతున్న విక్రమ్ గురించి కబీర్ ఓ నిజం తెలుసుకుంటాడు. రా ఏజెంట్‌గా ఉన్న కబీర్ దేశద్రోహిగా ఎందుకు మారాడు? సునీల్ లూథ్రాను ఎందుకు చంపాడు? కబీర్‌కు కావ్యకు ఉన్న సంబంధం ఏంటీ? కలి గ్యాంగ్ ఇండియాను ఎందుకు టార్గెట్ చేసింది? అనేది వార్ 2 కథ

ఎవరెలా చేశారు? యశ్ రాజ్ ఫిల్మ్స్ గత చిత్రాల మాదిరిగానే వార్ 2లోనూ యాక్సన్ సీన్స్, చేజింగ్‌లు నిండిపోయాయి. టీజర్, ట్రైలర్లలోనే ఈ యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్స్‌ల గురించి దర్శకుడు అయాన్ ముఖర్జీ హింట్ ఇచ్చారు. మొదటి గంటలోనే సినిమా కథ ఏంటీ? అనేది దర్శకుడు రివీల్ చేశాడు. జపాన్‌లో కథ మొదలై ఇటలీ, జర్మనీ, ఇండియా చుట్టూ తిరుగుతుంది. ఎన్టీఆర్ ఎంటరైన దగ్గరి నుంచి కథలో సస్పెన్స్, వేగం పెరుగుతుంది. హృతిక్‌తో ఏమాత్రం తగ్గకుండా ఎన్టీఆర్ నటించారు. సరిగ్గా ఇంటర్వెల్‌కు ముందు తానెవరు? ఎందుకు ఇదంతా చేస్తున్నది విక్రమ్‌కు చెప్పేస్తాడు కబీర్. ఆకాశంలో, రెండు విమానాలతో జరిగే యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్స్‌ సినిమాకే హైలైట్‌గా నిలిచింది. ఎన్టీఆర్- హృతిక్ ఈ ఫైట్ సీన్‌లో పోటీపడి నటించారు. అప్పుడే విక్రమ్ ఎవరో కబీర్‌కు తెలియడంతో ఇంటర్వెల్ ట్విస్ట్ అదిరిపోయింది. సెకండాఫ్‌లో ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాక్‌‌ కథ చెబుతూ హీరోల గతం ఏంటి అనేది రివీల్ చేశాడు దర్శకుడు. కబీర్, విక్రమ్‌ల మైండ్ గేమ్, రా చీఫ్‌ విక్రాంత్ కావ్‌ వ్యూహాలు ప్రేక్షకులకు వినోదాన్ని పంచుతాయి. విక్రమ్ - కబీర్‌ల మధ్య హోరాహోరీ పోరు, ట్విస్టులతో క్లైమాక్స్‌ను ముగించారు. ఎన్టీఆర్ - హృతిక్ రోషన్‌లు డ్యాన్స్‌లో పోటీలు పడ

యాక్షన్ సినిమాలకు కేరాఫ్‌గా నిలిచే హృతిక్ రోషన్ అలవోకగా కబీర్ పాత్రను చేసుకుంటూ వెళ్లాడు. ఫస్టాఫ్‌లో రా నుంచి తప్పించుకునే ట్రైన్ సీన్, ఇంటర్వెల్‌లో ఫ్లైట్ మీద జరిగే యాక్షన్ సీన్‌లలో అద్భుతంగా నటించి హాలీవుడ్ సినిమాలను గుర్తుచేశాడు. ఇక ఎన్టీఆర్ సంగతి చూస్తే.. హృతిక్‌కు గట్టిపోటీ ఇస్తూ యాక్షన్ సీన్స్‌లో అదరగొట్టాడు. ముఖ్యంగా క్లైమాక్స్‌లో తన యాక్టింగ్‌తో ఏడిపించేశాడు. హీరోయిన్ కియారా అద్వానీ బికినీ, లిప్‌లాక్స్‌తో పాటు యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్స్‌లోనూ తనలోని మరో షేడ్‌ను చూపించింది. అశుతోష్ రాణా, అనిల్ కపూర్ తదితరులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధి మేరకు న్యాయం చేశారు. టెక్నికల్ అంశాల జోలికి వస్తే ఈ సినిమాకు సంచిత్ బల్హారా, అంకిత్ బల్హారాలు అందించిన బ్యాక్‌గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ అదనపు బలంగా నిలిచింది. యాక్షన్ సీక్వెన్స్‌లను బెంజమిన్ జాస్ఫర్ అద్భుతంగా చూపించి మనల్ని మరో లోకంగా తీసుకెళ్లిపోయాడు. నిర్మాణ విలువల పరంగా ఆదిత్య చోప్రా ఎక్కడా తగ్గకుండా చాలా గ్రాండీయర్‌గా వార్ 2ను నిర్మించారు.

సూపర్ స్టార్ రజనీకాంత్, నాగార్జున కాంబినేషన్‌లో లోకేష్ కనగరాజ్ దర్శకత్వంలో వచ్చిన 'కూలీ' చిత్రం విడుదలైంది. సినిమాలో ఉపేంద్ర, సౌబిన్ షాహిర్, సత్యరాజ్, శ్రుతి హాసన్ ముఖ్య పాత్రలు పోషించారు. ఆమిర్ ఖాన్ స్పెషల్ రోల్‌లో, పూజా హెగ్డే స్పెషల్ సాంగ్‌లో మెరిశారు. సినిమాలో నాగార్జున విలన్ పాత్రలో అద్భుతంగా నటించారని, అనిరుధ్ సంగీతం ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచిందని టాక్ వినిపిస్తోంది. అయితే సినిమా అక్కడక్కడా నెమ్మదిగా సాగుతోందని అంటున్నారు.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s iconic film, Taare Zameen Par, is acclaimed for its sensitive portrayal of children’s psyche and was also a box office success. 18 years later, Aamir Khan brings its sequel,  the emotional drama titled Sitaare Zameen Par. Check out our review to know if this much-awaited movie has succeeded in winning the audience’s hearts like its predecessor, as it releases globally today.

Story:

Gulshan Arora (Aamir Khan) is an assistant coach for the Delhi basketball team. Gulshan’s short temper and other bad habits often land him in numerous problems. On a fateful day of drunk driving, Gulshan is caught by the police. As punishment, he is ordered by the court to coach a  team of young athletes who are dealing with autism, invisible autism, Down’s Syndrome, and  Fragile X Syndrome. What kind of challenges does Gulshan face while coaching a team with learning disabilities? What issues arise with his wife, Sunita (Genelia)? What are the shocking truths Gulshan discovers? What does he ultimately achieve with this team? This forms the main crux of Sitaare Zameen Par’s story.

Plus Points:-

The story of Sitaare Zameen Par may not feel drastically different for audiences who have already watched Taare Zameen Par. However, the emotions in SZP are quite distinct.  The film beautifully presents the theme of young individuals with Down Syndrome and other intellectual difficulties achieving success when they set their minds to it.

The pacing of the narrative in the first half is quick and engaging and holds the audience’s attention. However, there are a few moments in the second half when the director  seems to have lost focus. The challenges Gulshan faces as a basketball coach for the young team with intellectual difficulties are well depicted.

Aamir Khan’s performance as a coach who is determined to make his ‘unusual’ team win is fabulous. The emotional arc of his relationship with his wife, Sunita, is handled with depth.  The climax in particular is quite emotional and offers a satisfying conclusion to this emotional drama.

Minus Points:-

Having witnessed the critical and commercial success of Taare Zameen Par, fans of the prequel may find Sitaare Zameen Par lacking in comparison. Despite the presence of emotional content,  the sequel fails to leave a lasting impression on the audience.

While films like Sitaare Zameen Par don’t necessarily need to focus on entertainment, the emotional mark should definitely not be missed by such movies. In SZP’s case,  the backstories of certain characters are treated way too lightly.

In addition, the way Gulshan interacts with a young team dealing with learning difficulties doesn’t connect with the audience. The bond between the coach and his team develops only in the climax,  which may be too late to impress the audience. Scenes featuring the hero’s wife and mother seem to let the film down.

echnical Aspects:-

Director RS Prasanna does a fine job handling the emotional drama, but he could have focused more on the screenplay and tightened some of the lackluster scenes. The cinematography is solid, while the music, though decent, doesn’t feature any standout tracks, which played a key role in the success of  Taare Zameen Par. The editing could have been crisper in a few scenes. The production values are quite good.

Verdict:-

On the whole, Sitaare Zameen Par manages to appeal to a niche audience with its strong emotional drama and solid performances. However, if you go in expecting a film on the same level as Taare Zameen Par, you might be left slightly disappointed. The film slows down in certain places, which could deter the audience’s attention. However, for those who watch the film with no preconceived expectations, Sitaare Zameen Par will likely be an enjoyable emotional journey.

3BHK Movie Review: What happens when a middle-class family's to-do list becomes a movie? You get 3 BHK, a well-intentioned saga that feels like watching wallpaper fade on apartment walls you'll never own.

Sri Ganesh chronicles the Vasudevan (Sarathkumar) family's Sisyphean quest for homeownership across two decades. Every time dad Vasu and his clan scrape together enough cash for their 3 BHK dreams, life throws a curveball. Capitation fees for underperforming son Prabhu (Siddharth). Daughter Aarthi's (a sublime Meetha) marriage. Medical bills. The cycle repeats with clockwork precision.

There's undeniable warmth in watching this family stumble through familiar territory. Prabhu's reluctant transformation from IT drudge to someone who finally chases his mechanical engineering dreams rings true. Seriously, Siddharth doesn't age! He's believable as both a schoolboy and a grown-up. Sarathkumar brings genuine pathos to the perpetually worried patriarch. Devayani who plays Sarathkumar's wife Shanti, is adequate.

But familiarity breeds tedium here. The beats arrive exactly when expected: the well-meaning father who makes questionable decisions, the son who rediscovers his true calling after years of mediocrity, the sacrificial daughter whose potential gets sidelined. Yogi Babu's brief role as a broker offers a couple of amusing moments.

At 140 minutes, the film tests patience without offering much beyond recognition. Yes, the struggles will ring a bell. Yes, you'll appreciate the absence of manufactured drama. But recognition isn't the same as engagement. 3 BHK constructs its narrative like its titular apartment: functional, predictable, and standard.
